Second Nature is a product of Luminair Systems Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal information through this website and in our work with councils. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
When you contact us or book an intro call, we collect your name, your council or organisation and role, the setting you’re interested in, and anything you choose to tell us in your message. If you email or phone us, we keep a record of that correspondence.
In engagements, councils share program, tonnage, contractor and cost data with us. This is generally not personal information. Where it is, we use it only for the engagement and de-identify it in our reporting.
The calculator runs entirely in your web browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us or stored by us, and the snapshot is created on your own device. We only see your figures if you choose to share them with us.
Our fieldwork involves observation and short conversations with residents, visitors, organisers and businesses. We don’t record people’s names unless they agree, and survey responses are reported in de-identified form.
Where an engagement uses visitor movement data, we use aggregated, de-identified data from third-party providers. We do not receive, track or identify individuals.
We use personal information to respond to your enquiry, deliver and improve our services, and send you information you have asked for. We do not sell personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
We share personal information only with our team and specialist partners working on your engagement, and with service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, form handling and email. Some of these providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
This website may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand, in aggregate, how pages are used. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete or de-identify it when it’s no longer needed.
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by contacting us at Welcome@secondnaturewaste.com.au or on 0482 852 435. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
